Moonshine - 33cl

Belgian Witbier Revisited | 33 CL | 5.0% alc. vol

All the crispness of a Belgian white. Zero need to drink it on the sly.

Moonshine is our Belgian witbier with a homemade twist: orange peel, coriander seeds, and a silky texture that makes it incredibly easy to drink. A beer with a name that evokes smuggling… and that's no coincidence.

The result? A round and fresh sip, carried by lemon and orange, without ever getting bogged down by wheat. It’s the beer you serve when you want something simple, but with character. Cheers! 🍻

The story of the Moonshine - 33cl

The name Moonshine is not insignificant: during the American Prohibition era, it referred toalcoholic beverages distilled secretly, out of sight, by the light of the moon alone. It's a reference that fits us perfectly. We brewed our very first beers in a cellar in Flon, Lausanne, using pots and pans as vats and the energy of DIY rather than that of an industrial brewery. Nothing illegal this time, but the same resourceful spirit. Moonshine proudly bears this memory like a flag: that of a group that started with nothing, and continues to brew with the same desire.

Its beer style

Technically, Moonshine is a witbier, the quintessential Belgian style, usually brewed with unmalted wheat for a round, hazy body. We add our homemade touch: orange peel and coriander seeds, infused for an extra citrus kickwithout ever becoming sweet. The Mandarina Bavaria hops enhance this citrus profile, while the top-fermenting yeast gives it its characteristic roundness. The result: a modern white beer, silky and vibrant, perfect for quenching summer thirsts.

Its beer and food pairings

Thanks to its refreshing citrus notes, Moonshine is perfect for the lightest summer meals. It enhances white fish ceviche, shrimp salad, or salmon tartare without ever overpowering their delicate flavors. For a more indulgent note, it also pairs very well with fresh goat cheese or a platter of assorted sushi. This beer is best reserved for meals where lightness takes precedence over body, perfect in the bright sun, with a chilled glass in hand, without having to overthink the pairing.

Its label

On the label, each element tells part of the story. The cloud, the brewery's graphic signature, evokes the lightness of this white beer. The moonin the background is not merely decorative: it recalls the low-angle light under which we brewed in our early days. The orange and wheat grains, arranged around it, sum up the recipe at a glance. A streamlined, almost nocturnal visual that contrasts with the sunny character of the beer itself, and that is precisely what makes it so charming.
