Malt Capone

Robust Porter | 33 CL | 7% alc. vol

Certains contrebandiers ne changent jamais. Cette Porter non plus.

Malt Capone makes its return. A historic beer from La Nébuleuse, one of our earliest recipes, now refined and reworked with precision. It disappeared in 2021 and comes back today in its original version, sharper than ever, because you kept asking for it.

Deep black with mahogany reflections, topped with a dense and velvety cream head. The aroma delivers roasted coffee, bourbon vanilla and dark chocolate, with a faint woody note reminiscent of old hidden bars.

On the palate, the attack is smooth and creamy, followed by the rise of roasted malts. You will find notes of cocoa, vanilla and toasted rye, balanced by the warmth of bourbon. The finish is long, silky and slightly smoky, the mark of a true classic.

Malt Capone captures winter comfort in a glass. Enjoy it by the fireplace, with a chocolate dessert, or during a late evening with a cigar.

The story of la Malt Capone

THETo carrywas born in Londoneighteenth century, designed forthe porters of the English docks. Dark, malty, roasted beer, designed to keep you warm in the damp cold of the ports.

THERobust Porter is its more assertive evolution.. Enhanced roasting, increased depth, more pronounced bitterness.

A style built on coffee, cocoa and roasted grains, designed to offer more structure without losing balance.

Its beer style

Porter, born in the London docks, was a dark beer intended for porters who needed warmth and strength. Robust Porter is its reinforced version. More roasted, more structured, with a more pronounced bitterness. Coffee, cocoa, and toasted grains take center stage. A solid, dense style, designed to withstand the cold and maintain a controlled balance.

Its beer and food pairings

Rich chocolate desserts, especially fondant or dense mousse. Blue cheeses or marbled cheeses to create a salty and rich contrast with the roasting.

Slow-braised meats, reduced sauce, bitter cocoa or coffee. Vanilla or caramel ice cream that absorbs the heat of the bourbon.

Also perfect with a thick cigar by the fireside, where the smoke enhances the roasted notes of the beer.

Its label

The image presents a coded narrative rather than a decorative illustration.

The fragmented background functions as an inventory of clues.

The barrel, the pipe, the pocket watch, the swirls, the checkerboard patterns, the twisted silhouettes evoke a clandestine world, manufactured in the shadows rather than in broad daylight.

The masked horse and the snake recall the ambivalence of the porter style: softness of the attack, bite of the roasted malts.

The label evokes a constructed, almost theatrical warmth. Antique objects, smoky materials, a tension between calm and agitation.

It condenses the spirit of Malt Capone: a return to deep black, a cold seasonal beer, rooted in the imagery of hidden bars and evenings that linger by the fire.
