Huguette - 33cl

Elderflower Saison | 5.4% ABV

The full subtlety of a farmhouse Saison. Zero in-between seasons.

Huguette is our summer Saison: a modern farm ale brewed with real elderflowers, capturing all the fragrance of summer days in a bottle. Its cloudy appearance and generous head set the tone: here, finesse trumps stature.

The result? A floral and honeyed nose, a palate that shifts from gingerbread to fruitiness, and a dry finish that makes you long for a second glass. A Saison that doesn't take itself too seriously, but delivers on all its promises. Cheers! 🍻

The story of the Huguette - 33cl

Huguette was born from a simple desire: to brew a Saison that truly smelled of summer. This farmhouse style, traditionally brewed in winter on farms in northern Europe to quench the thirst of agricultural workers during harvest, was perfectly suited to a Swiss reinterpretation. Our brewers added real elderflowers, harvested in season, to bring that floral and honeyed touch that distinguishes it from classic Saisons. The result bears the name of a discreet but essential figure: the one who, in every family, knows how to entertain without ever taking themselves too seriously.

Its beer style

Born on farms in northern Belgium, Saison beer was brewed in winter to quench the thirst of farm workers when summer arrived. Huguette revisits this tradition with her own special touch: an elderflower infusion that softens the classic spicy and fruity character of saison yeast. The result is a hazy beer with a straw-yellow color, topped with a dense foam, where floral and honey notes interplay with hints of cereal and a touch of gingerbread, for a sip unlike any other.

Its beer and food pairings

With its floral profile and dry finish, Huguette pairs wonderfully with light summer meals: a warm goat cheese salad, an herb-roasted chicken, or a fresh fish tartare. Its touch of honey and gingerbread also makes it a great companion for a mild cheese board, a platter of delicate charcuterie, or a subtly sweet fruit dessert. A beer to be served well chilled, on the terrace, as soon as the warm weather returns, glass in hand and nothing else to do.

Its label

The label depicts a 100% pool party universe. It features a melting ice cream cone, a nod to elderflower and its honeyed notes, surrounded by a group of partygoers: a colorful parrot, a frog perched on its flip-flop inner tube with a cocktail in hand, and a pint of beer in a Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses observing the scene with a satisfied look. Bright colors, a bold design, and a lot of self-deprecating humor: a label that doesn't take itself too seriously, just like the beer.
