The story of the Embuscade

L'Embuscade: The IPA that surprises you from the first sip

The IPA, or India Pale Ale, is an iconic style of the craft beer movement, and the Ambush perfectly embodies this tradition. Born in England, this style was reinvented by American craft breweries at the end of the 20th century. Today, Embuscade stands out as an essential reference among Swiss IPAs, with its unique character and inimitable aromas. It even wins the bronze medal at the European Beer Star, the most prestigious, world-renowned brewing competition.

The name Ambush is a perfect reflection of what happens when you taste it. You start with one, then without warning, the evening takes off and what was supposed to be a quiet aperitif turns into a nighttime adventure. That's exactly what this beer does: it grabs you, and you can't escape it!

Its beer style

The IPA originated from British settlers on their way to India, who added a large amount of hops to their beer for the keep during the long journey.

Hops, in addition to their aromas, have natural preservative properties, which allowed sailors to enjoy fresh beer even after months at sea.

Hops, like tea, release their flavors depending on the infusion. The hotter it is brewed, the more bitter the beer will be...

By allowing the hops to express themselves fully, the Embuscade develops all the complexity of its aromas and its balanced bitterness.

Its beer and food pairings

The Ambush is perfect to accompany grilled meats, red meats or even a burger with a spicy sauce. Its intense aromas and delicately balanced bitterness perfectly complement these rich and spicy dishes.

Its label

On the label, each element has its importance.

The American Eagle represents the influence of American craft breweries in the IPA renaissance.

The British hand, who holds this eagle, pays homage to the English origin of the style.

Hops, at the center of this beer, could not be absent.

And finally, the arrow symbolizes the precision and strength of this beer: one sip and it hits the mark.
